Personalizing Products
You can allow your shoppers to add custom text to a product when adding product items to their carts. This is useful, for example, if you have a product like a T-shirt that can be personalized or you sell greetings cards that can be printed with your shoppers personalized messages. You can do this by configuring the the custom_inputs attribute.
- Go to Product Experience Manager > Products. 
- From All Products, navigate to the product you want to personalize. 
- Select the product to edit it. 
- Expand Personalization. 
- Select New Custom Input. 
- Configure the following fields: - Field - Required - Description - Custom Input Key - Required - Enter a name for the custom input field, for example, Front or Back. - Custom Input Name - Optional - Enter a descriptive name for the type of custom text a shopper can add, for example, T-Shirt Front, or T-Shirt Back. - Maximum length - Optional - You can add a maximum length. For example, the input field must be 50 characters in length. The limit is 255 characters. - Required Input - Optional - Toggle Required Input on if a shopper must specify some personalization text. 

- Select Save & Exit or Next, depending on your requirements.
